Worst Day Ever

First we woke up to the kids quietly playing together, overlooking the beautiful view.

A couple cups of coffee later, we were ready for our adventure of the day.

Isaac enjoyed being the center of attention once again with cousins Julian and Miles.

Aunt Kelli enjoyed some girl time.

The kids were so entertained by the boat ride that we got to just relax.

Boat bums.

Waving to the passing boats.

After touring the lake for a while, the torture really began with some tubing.
Isaac and Julian.

Abby and I.

Adel and Miles.

Kelli and Christian.

Abby, Lily, and Aubrey.

Round 2 of the torture involved this small island beach.

We let the kids swim to shore.

We thought about just leaving them there with Andy, the only grownup in the water.

In the end, we decided to stay with them while the daddies went water skiing.

Unfortunately they had no fun at all.

While the daddies would occasionally do a drive by.

It was a terrible,

horrible,

no good, very bad day.

Seriously, you know how sometimes you see a picture of someone at the beach or at a seemingly beautiful location and you think, "yeah but it's probably really hot, or cold and windy, or there's gnats buzzing around their face."  Well, this place wasn't like that at all.  It was horrifically perfect.

We rode home completely disappointed and disillusioned.

Not to mention stressed.

Island babies.

And I hear there's s'mores for dessert.  Ugh.  Hate this place.
