Christmas Break!

We decided to give "experience gifts" this year and so we filled up our 2 weeks with lots of activity.

First, we drove to Dallas to go to the Legoland Discovery Center.  The day started with hot cocoa (coffee for me!)

A face only a mother could love?  I do!

Lego fun...

Christmas day at Mimi's house started with the kids helping retell the Christmas Story.

When Isaac's last fish died (finally) and we got rid of the fish tank, he said he missed the sound it made and wished he at least had a fountain.  Wish granted!

These two!

Fun with Uncle Andy

After presents, it's time to play!

Mimi got them all adventure vests...now we have to plan some adventures!

Of course there was this

Then we moved the play to outdoor fun.

Daddy/Uncle Adel shared his candy sushi with everyone.

After Christmas we celebrated Christmas with the siblings (and Jackson) at Build a Bear!

Everyone left happy!

Back to our house for Chick Fil-A

And bounce house fun! (this was supposed to be at JJ's birthday party but we had to move it when he got sick!)

Abby and Isaac each got to bring a friend to see the latest Star Wars movie!

We celebrated Christmas with DD and Papa at the facility.  So good to see them!

I wish this picture wasn't blurry but at least it captures the family

Our last "experience gift" was with our friends to the Kemah escape room and dinner.

We didn't escape, but we had fun trying!

Cutie trying on her winter gear, even though it never got cold enough to wear it!

About experience gifts, there is such thing as overdoing it, which we probably did!  It was so much fun but man did I wear myself out!

December in Pictures

December started with a choir field trip with Abby to see the Nutcracker!

Special time with my girl!

Hyde Choir

Just hanging at piano.  These two sure love each other.

Cutie patootie!

Family Cookie day at our house!  Will and JJ were so cute licking the beaters!

Time to decorate cookies!

That's a lot of cousins!

Every year Isaac makes a different cookie masterpiece.  This year it is a cookie cheeseburger.

Concentrating so hard (in-between licking his fingers and sneaking chocolate chips).

Their sister, Baby Fay (Fatima) was born and is in a loving foster home just 10 minutes away!  We got to meet her and it was love at first sight!

Enjoying some cookie goodness!

He rarely has homework since he gets it all done at school.  A rare sight of the big guy hard at work!

French horn Christmas performance.  Isaac is second from right and did great!

Celebrating Abby's choir performance and Isaac's french horn performance at the sushi bar!

School Christmas parties!

The 3 Creek Kids teams praying for Sullivan, our little buddy who is battling cancer.

We will pray you through the fight, Sullivan!

My sweet Creek Kids girls.  They are such fun to work with!

JJ's birthday party.  He got sick on the day we had his party planned so we did a very quick party on his actually birthday.  Turns out all a 4 year old needs to feel celebrated is cake and presents.

He was pretty happy with it!

Enjoying the new toys with Samantha.

We visited DD and Papa at the facility where Papa is rehabilitating from his stroke.
