May in Pictures

splash pad in Mimi's neighborhood.

Sweet daddy time!  Look at Baby Boy's hair growing in!!!

Sweet brother time!

This is what I'm talking about.  Baby Boy used to sleep fitfully on his tummy in a fetal position.  Now, he covers himself with a blanket, and a toy, and sleeps on his back.  So precious.

Sibling play day!

The little one on the left is their baby sister.

Play time at the park while Abby is at gymnastics.

A little friend came to play.

A friend donated a play kitchen for whole minutes of entertainment (hours would be nice, but we're working our way up)

This is quite a story.  Poor guy tripped over someone at PE and fell straight on his head.  No bump or bruise of any kind but he ended up vomiting several times and was dizzy and light headed.  We took him to the ER and they diagnosed him with a concussion and did a CT scan to make sure there was no internal bleeding or fracture.  All was well but it took him a good two weeks to feel like himself again.  Poor big guy!

He wants to read "Rock-a-roni Doodle."

And now he's eating his favorite, rockaroni and cheese

Baby girl got to come with me to bring Bitsy to a "pet show" at Abby's school

We met the foster siblings at McD's for a playdate

(but I didn't get any pics of the siblings)

We found a Filipino strip mall! Yum!

This is not the best idea I ever had

Extended family time with lots of cousins!

Abby helping lead worship for the last time as a third grader at Creek Kids.  Next week she will promote to the 4th grade class! (sniff!)

Dangerfield State Park

We love camping, but aren't quite up for the tent experience with the babies yet.  So we searched and found some state park cabins to rent and this is our first one.  Mid-May is potentially already way too hot in Texas for being outdoors, so we took a picture of the cabin thermostat: camping at a 68 degree temp is not too shabby!

And eating lots of junk food before bedtime

Isaac got his own room.  I LOVE and can't get enough of the fact that he now loves to read!

Getting out the sweets!

The next day we explored the park.  Paddle boats.

And the lilypads

We had a picnic table in our back yard so the kids made use of the dirt

We went on a 2 mile nature walk.  Baby Girl walked the whole way.  We didn't let Baby Boy out of his stroller because we knew he would stop and touch EVERYTHING and we would never get anywhere.  We pretty much had to carry the stroller the whole way.

Lots of work, but still fun.

Sun came out!

Abby was pretty proud of her castle

 Lunch

Isaac's dirt dog

Babies are in bed and it's game night!

And in the morning, Babies get to have some screen time

Last morning swing time

A swing with a view

Sooooooooo sweet!  (at least at this moment)

And naps on the ride home!

We are pretty sure that our vacations for this year will now be all little weekend getaways like this.  Just much easier than a big trip with the little ones!
