Disneyland, Part 2

Naptime complete, we headed back to the park...
(side note: we only had time to take a couple quick shots here before a Disney worker informed us that standing on the fence was against the rules...heehee).

...and happily accidentally made it just in time for the parade.

Adel captured our favorites:

Abby boisterously named every character that came around the corner.  "That's Mickey!  There's Minnie!"

She nearly flipped out when the princess float passed by with the rest of her favorites that she had yet to see.

I must admit, her excitement made me teary eyed.  Oh so sweet and satisfied.

Even Mary Poppins.

Finally, we headed to Tomorrowland.  After Star Tours (way better now that it's updated), we headed to Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster (a ride Adel still claims to have invented).  Isaac, usually mommy-clinggy, finally realized that sometimes (as in the case of blasting aliens), daddies are good to have around.

My boys blasting away.

Adel is pretty aggressive and Isaac seems to just be sort of observing the ride.

Well, maybe he's a little bit apprehensive...

Driver's licenses (can't believe I spelled that word right the first time...yay me!) from Autopia.

Abby "driving." She cackled with evil glee the whole time.

Had no problem taking her eyes off the road while driving so I could take this photo.  Craziest lady driver I ever met.

Isaac is describing what it was like to drive his own car.  "It was like, raaaaaaaaaaah..."

Nemo's submarine.  Again, Isaac was apprehensive.  He wouldn't even stick his face in the window to see better.

Abby was thrilled to discover that she was just barely tall enough to ride Space Mountain.  Isaac had been most looking forward to this ride and they were both very brave.

We headed over to Adventureland for the Pirates of the Caribbean.  I love the faces in the photo.  Isaac is still nervous about everything and Abby is happy-go-lucky.  But, in the end, Isaac decided this was his favorite ride (while Abby decided it was too scary).  Abby and I watched Fantasmic while Daddy and Isaac rode Pirates two more times.  Isaac and Adel were joined by our friend Bobby and his fiancé Charina.

Caught a peak of the fireworks too.

With one hour left until the park closed, we headed back to the kids' top choice ride: Space Mountain.  This picture cracked me up so much that we had to pay the millions of dollars for it.  I love that every face in it tells our story.  Adel, the Space Mountain veteran, is intentionally posing for the picture.  Bobby, in the back row, is closing his eyes because the photo flashes make him dizzy.  But it actually looks like Adel is smacking Bobby in the face.  Isaac is stunned by the excitement (after we got off he said the second time was scarier than the first: "I was so scared I couldn't scream!")  Abby is stoically observing the excitement...she sat so still and quiet the entire ride, exactly as seen in the photo.  And I am laughing so hard I can hardly scream.

After the last ride, we headed out of the closing park.  And this was the scene moments after we made it back to the hotel room (past midnight here, which is past 2am Texas time!).
