LDC

Instead of hosting a birthday party this year, Isaac decided to go to the Legoland Discovery Center in Dallas.

Chillin' on the drive.

Abby took a nap (much needed after she threw up the Oreos she ate at the start of the trip!).

Buccees truly lived up to its reputation as the mother of all pit stops and super clean restrooms.  We even saw 2 employees scrubbing the floor with toothbrushes.

Isaac took for-e-ver to find his candy of choice.

After scoping out the mall where LDC is, we finally settled in to bed at 10:30pm.
Here, the kids are sleeping peacefully.

Isaac was so excited that he nearly stayed awake all night.  We finally gave up trying and got up for an early breakfast.  Texas waffles.

And had plenty of time for some snuggles and TV before LDC opened.

We got there early and were the 2nd in line.

Plenty of time for no-crowd photos.

The fun starts with a tour of the Lego Factory.

Then, after a cool ride where you get to shoot the bad guys, it's pretty much a free for all.
Here the kids are designing buildings that can withstand earthquakes.

And engineer Daddy too.

Push a button and the earthquake starts.

I like how Abby rides this like it's one of those granny-mobiles in the grocery store.

And Isaac rides it like a dirt bike.

 Next, we build race cars.

And race them!

Most cars crash to bits on this super-high ramp.

Fun in the giant Lego pit.

Isaac has always dreamed of building a Lego structure big enough to walk inside.

Mommy having way too much fun.

And the result...a princess throne for Abby.

Isaac enjoying the flying wizard ride.

And a tour through Miniland Dallas.

This pic is for Boppa.

Ready for the 4D Lego movie.

They spent over an hour running through the giant play structure.

Abby and I had lots of fun in the Legoland Princess Parlor singing and dancing to karaoke.

To see Abby's song click here.

To see Abby dance to my song click here (please ignore my horrible dancing on the sidelines!  Adel has termed my dorky dance move "The Cat's Paw." Of course, now that you know that, you are going to be too distracted watching "The Cat's Paw" in action to see Abby's cute dancing.  SO, laugh at my uncoordinated dance moves first and then re-watch the clip so you can appreciate Abby's cuteness).

Thank you to the friends and family who gave Isaac money for his Lego purchase!

A hot drive home the next day.

And then getting settled in to play with his new toy.

Abby IS adorable, but I had much more fun laughing at your "cat paw". Adel is right! That was hilarious!

Good to know I'm not the only one in the family with incredible dancing talent! LOVE the pic of the kids sleeping! From all the smile radiating from your pics, it looks like you had an amazing time! Yea for Isaac!
