Lego Birthday

Isaac's buddy Jackson couldn't make it to the party, so we had him come to dinner with us on Isaac's actual birthday. Isaac's choice: Olive Garden for butter noodles.  

The kids jumped on the trampoline while waiting for everyone to arrive.

Then the lego contest began.  I did a terrible job of taking pictures of their creations.  We did 5 contests: Best Lego Man, Fastest Car, Tallest Tower, Dumbest Invention That's Actually Useful, and Strongest Bridge.  This time around the kids are actually old enough to build some awesome feats of engineering.

Summer Medley

With summer wrapping up, I've been saving pictures from the past few months so here's some snapshots from throughout the summer:

That about rounds off summer fun!

Family Times

We had a couple special activities with family this summer.  One was a piano recital at DD's house.

Each of the kids performed a song or two that they have been working on.

They all did so well!

Then DD and Papa showed us a memorial stone they had dedicated to Dad at the community club park.  

We all huddled up to say a prayer of thanks and hope.  Sweet family moment.

A few weeks later, we got to take the nieces home for some fun cousin time at our house. 

We wore them out pretty well so bedtime was a piece of cake!

We rode the ferry too.  Fun!
